Meanwhile, Maya Watono, Director of Marketing and Tourism Programs at InJourney, added, "Golo Mori is one of the destinations developed by InJourney because its existence is also part of Labuan Bajo, which is one of the 5 Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP) initiated by the government. The beautiful scenery and natural beauty are the uniqueness of Golo Mori that must be introduced to the world. Maya does not deny that she learned from previous international events, such as F1Powerboat in Lake Toba and MotoGP in Mandalika, which were able to increase tourist visits and provide a multiplier effect and economic impact for the surrounding community.

"The hope is that with the organization of this IP event, the International Golo Mori Jazz will also have an economic impact on the surrounding community and create a strong tourism climate for Golo Mori," added Maya.

2. Bringing Legendary Musicians from Different Generations

Bringing music to the mountainous region is not something new for Jazz Gunung Indonesia. Jazz Gunung Indonesia started holding Jazz Gunung Bromo in 2009. Over time, the selected mountainous areas have increased, starting from Mount Ijen, Mount Slamet, and Mount Burangrang.

"International Golo Mori Jazz 2024 will bring legendary musicians from different generations with a unique and memorable composition," said Sigit Pramono, the Founder of Jazz Gunung.

The legendary musicians from Indonesia and international music across generations who will perform include Andien, Maliq & D'Essentials, Sheila Majid, and Tohpati, known for their phenomenal works, and have become legendary figures due to their consistency until now. Tohpati will perform in an Orchestra format to guide the melodies of Sheila Majid and Andien in a special international collaboration.

"The performers have confirmed their presence. Preparations and technical surveys have been conducted more than three times in The Golo Mori area, Labuan Bajo, and its surroundings. The best sound system made by the nation's children will also complement the presentation at this year's International Golo Mori Jazz," added Bagas Indyatmono, Director of Jazz Gunung Indonesia.

3. Tourism Sector as the Main Contributor to the Country's GDP

Reflecting on the organization of Jazz Gunung Bromo, the economic turnover over 2 days attended by 2,750 people per day reached around Rp24,237,500,000, assuming an average visitor spending of around Rp8,000,000 per visit. It is not impossible for such economic turnover to occur at International Golo Mori Jazz 2024.

"The tourism sector is one of the major contributions to the country's GDP, so it is necessary for us to continue to encourage it by developing tourist destinations as Bali Baru, one of which is Labuan Bajo. For that reason, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia always supports music events that have appreciative, spirited, and committed qualities in presenting the identity of Indonesian music. Moreover, if the event can provide a real economic impact for the region, in this case Golo Mori, so that in the future Golo Mori can be promoted as an arts and music tourism," said the Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo.
