What's special about the song Leave a Message is that Eka Winky Project collaborates with a talented young singer, Mea Shahira.

Apparently, Winky and Eka have been interested in collaborating with Mea Shahira for a long time. According to Eka, Mea Shahira is one of the talented young singers. From there, Eka Winky Project immediately invited Mea Shahira to collaborate on the song Leave a Message.

"We have been eyeing Mea for collaboration for a long time. Our thought at that time was, Someday, we have to collaborate with Mea. Either for what project. Because we already know what kind of voice Eka Winky Project wants, we feel that Mea is the right choice to fill this single," Winky told reporters on Monday (18/10/2021).

"When working on this song, we were looking for a potential newcomer singer. Then, Mea's name came up because, in our opinion, she has a unique vocal character. This song has concise lyrics and Mea can deliver it well," added Eka.

Mae Shahira herself admitted feeling surprised when offered to collaborate with Eka Winky Project, who can be said to have a lot of experience in the Indonesian music industry.

"I was a bit nervous when I had to work with them, but also excited. This single is really outside my comfort zone because the genre is different, so it gives me new lessons and experiences," said Mae Shahira.

Mae Shahira expressed gratitude for being able to collaborate with Eka Winky Project. According to her, from this collaboration, she learned a lot from the two great musicians.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Eka and Winky who have been in this industry for a long time. From them, I also learned many things, from the music industry in Indonesia, managing time, to how to behave professionally," said Mae Shahira.

What's interesting is that, although Eka and Winky are very experienced in creating songs, here they also accept input given by Mae Shahira. Through the song Leave a Message, Winky hopes that this single can represent people who have the same feelings as the lyrics.

"This single can be listened to relaxingly in any situation, whether it's at home or in a car, because Leave a Message can bring happiness to anyone who listens to it," said Winky.

"This song has different lyrics from Summer Tears because I told Eka that I wanted a song with everyday life lyrics. Finally, Leave a Message was created. I myself feel that this second single sounds more exciting because of its more 'naughty' lyrics," concluded Winky.

Meanwhile, the latest single from Eka Winky Project collaborating with Mea Shahira titled Leave a Message can already be heard on digital platforms starting from October 15, 2021.
