MARBLES greets fans again with their latest single titled Catch Me. This time, the group draws inspiration from the childhood game of hide and seek to present a love story about feelings of affection, doubt, and the desire to be pursued by someone they like.
Through Catch Me, MARBLES depicts a character who actually wants to get closer but still feels shy to take the first step. The simple concept of the childhood game is then transformed into a light, sweet, and relatable love story.
Interestingly, the idea had already emerged during the songwriting process. Jebung, one of the songwriters for 'Catch Me', revealed that the phrase 'catch me' as well as the counting in the game of hide and seek became the starting point for the creation of the song.
"Suddenly I thought of the idea 'catch me, catch me' and the counting 'tu wa ga pat' like we were playing hide and seek. I knew this would be so fun! I'm so happy to finally hear MARBLES release this song," said Jebung.
Not only Jebung, Anangga also sees hide and seek as a game that is suitable to describe the dynamics of feelings in 'Catch Me'. The game is then combined with the story of a shy girl who actually wants to be chased by the guy she likes. "The inspiration comes from the children's game of hide and seek which I incorporated into the love story of a shy girl, but who actually wants to be chased by the guy she likes," said Anangga.
The combination of these concepts makes 'Catch Me' present with a different color. Carrying vibrant pop energy, bilingual lyrics, and dynamic performance, MARBLES showcases their increasingly expressive side.
This single also marks the continuation of MARBLES' journey after 'HOMPIMPA'. While they previously appeared with playful energy and full confidence, 'Catch Me' brings a sweeter side with a love story inspired by childhood games. 'Catch Me' was officially released on August 12, 2026, and is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
