Referred to as the Next Generation of Ungu, Here’s Kiesha Alvaro and Zara Leola’s Response

Kapanlagi.com - Kiesha Alvaro and Zara Leola responded to Pasha Ungu's statement referring to them as the next generation of the Ungu band. Both expressed pride, but each has their own perspective regarding the label.

Met in the Senayan area on Wednesday (5/08/2026), Kiesha emphasized that she does not yet feel worthy of carrying the label of successor to the band that their fathers built.

"Honestly, I never feel worthy to be part of the Ungu generation because they are too extraordinary, our fathers," said Kiesha Alvaro when met in Senayan on Wednesday (5/08/2026).

On the other hand, Zara expressed similar appreciation. She mentioned that she still wants to go through her career process comfortably, without pressure, even though her name is associated with Ungu.

1. Acting Focus, But Music Opportunities Remain Open

Kiesha admits to having a musical background from her father. Nonetheless, she does not want the label of successor to become a burden. Currently, she is placing her main focus on her acting career.

"But yes, when talking about blood, it really is like that, I mean, Ungu. I just don’t want it to be a burden for me moving forward because I am more focused on acting," Kiesha said.

However, she does not rule out the possibility of diving deeper into music at the right time. Opportunities remain open as long as there is room to prepare herself.

2. Zara Leola Talks Career and Involvement in 'North-South'

A similar view was expressed by Zara Leola. She feels that her musical character is different from her father's and hopes her journey unfolds without pressure.

"What’s certain is that I feel very different from Dad as well, but I hope that everything goes well and unpressured for me," Zara stated.

Zara also expressed her happiness in being involved in the latest music video for the Ungu song titled North-South. She referred to the band as one of the major inspirations in her career.

"I feel happy, I definitely feel glad because I feel that Ungu is also an inspiration, like a very-very big inspiration for me," Zara concluded.
