Through Eternal Melody, Allequa Perucha Affirms Her Seriousness in Pursuing a Career

Allequa Perucha continues her journey in the music industry after participating in The Icon Indonesia. This 19-year-old singer has released her second single titled Eternal Melody, which she wrote herself from the lyrics to the melody as a manifestation of her seriousness in pursuing a music career.

"I am grateful that my second single is finally finished and ready to be released. The production process was quite long because it wasn't easy to make this song," said Allequa Perucha when met in the Senopati area of South Jakarta on Tuesday (4/8/2026).

In its production, Allequa collaborated with producer Andreas Arianto. She aimed for a final result that aligns with the emotions she wants to convey, which is why the production process took a long time before it was ready for release.

Eternal Melody is a continuation for Allequa after The Icon Indonesia, marking her commitment to the music world. Not only does she sing, but she also writes the lyrics and melodies, then collaborates with Andreas Arianto to polish the overall production.

Allequa mentions that the process took quite a long time. She wants every element in the song to reflect the emotions she wants to share with the listeners, so the production stages are carried out carefully until the desired result is achieved.

The readiness to release this second single is an important phase for her. After going through an intense creative process, she presents Eternal Melody as a continuation of works that emphasize the personal side from writing to production.

In her new single, Allequa chooses rock genre as her musical identity. According to her, rock is the right medium to express emotions more freely and powerfully compared to other genres.

"It's like when you see someone rocking out, they definitely pour their emotions out like everyone is screaming, playing guitar, wuaaa like that," she said.

Her habit of watching rock music concerts also influenced that choice. From that experience, she felt a strong emotional energy and hopes to bring it back through Eternal Melody.

"Every time I watch a rock concert, I definitely feel the emotional feelings from the songs," she said.

3. Meaning of the Lyrics: Loyalty, Love, and Personal Hope

From the storytelling side, Eternal Melody raises themes of loyalty and love. Inspired by her desire to have a partner, Allequa emphasizes that the meaning of love in this song is not solely romantic.

"The lyrics of the song are about loyalty and love for someone. Considering love as romantic towards a partner, while I? I don't have a boyfriend and hope to have a partner," she said.

"But this song is also about love that can be for your friends, friends for siblings, for family, for your own passion. Basically, the essence is about love," Allequa added.

She hopes Eternal Melody will be accepted by Indonesian music lovers. For Allequa, this song becomes a confirmation of the direction she wants to take in the future.

"Because this second single is proof that I am serious about music. Whether I truly become a singer or not, music is my path," concluded Allequa.
