Promoters Appeal to the Audience to Avoid Becoming Victims of Scalpers and Ticket Fraud at Bruno Mars Concert

Kapanlagi.com - American singer, Bruno Mars, will hold a concert titled Bruno Mars Live in Jakarta 2024, which will take place on September 13-14, 2024 at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Ancol, North Jakarta. Tickets can be purchased starting from June 27-29, 2024.

PK Entertainment, Third Eye Management, and Live Nation, as the promoters, issued an appeal to Bruno Mars fans who want to attend the concert. This is related to the rampant scalping and ticket fraud during concerts.

"When we talk about scalping and fraud, the promoters always have a principle of providing clear, complete, and timely information distribution. So we will provide as much information as possible," said CoFounder and COO of PK Entertainment, Harry Sudarma, in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (21/6/2024).

1. Be cautious when buying tickets

Harry advises prospective Bruno Mars audience members to be cautious and not impulsive when buying tickets. To avoid fraud, potential buyers should follow the steps and rules set by the promoter.

"That's why if you see, the posts from PK (promoter) and TEM (promoter) are quite lengthy. Our hope is that fans can improve their digital literacy, read, examine, and be more cautious," Harry requested.

"And we have many technical measures to reduce fraud and deceit," Harry continued.

2. Tickets Cannot Be Resold

As a promoter, Harry continues to strive to ensure that tickets sold to prospective audience members cannot be resold. This is to prevent unwanted incidents during the concert.

"If we talk about technical aspects, for example, we always do mitigation or reduction, as well as anti-bot measures during ticket sales. And of course, a secure system," Harry explained.

"Then, the ticket purchasing procedure, such as purchase limits, clear data, cannot be resold, cannot be transferred," Harry added.

3. Ticket Distribution

One of the steps taken by the promoter to prevent ticket scalpers from 'playing' during the concert is about ticket distribution. Harry's side said they will only do it close to the concert day.

"The tickets we distribute are indeed close to the concert, but not easily thrown around carelessly. Because we often see irresponsible parties, having one ticket but for 10 people because it is easy to transfer," said Harry.

"So, that's the mitigation that we also work together with partners technologically to try to implement for continuous improvement from every concert, so the experience is not only more comfortable but also safer," Harry concluded.
