Ready to Enliven the Indonesian Music Industry, CANTIQ Girlband Will Release Two Songs at Once

Kapanlagi.com - Flash Inter Music (FIMM DISTRA) founded by artist Ivonne Mariana Inawade has just held closed auditions for a number of young singers in three cities, starting from Kendari, Cirebon, and Jakarta. From the auditions, five talented young singers were selected who are ready to break into the Indonesian music industry. They are Salwa, Syla, Aquila, Queen, and Pipit.

As a jury member who is also the founder and Executive Producer of FIMM DISTRA, Ivonne Mariana Inawade has her own reasons for choosing these five young and talented singers. Ivonne Mariana Inawade mentioned that these five singers have unique vocal characters.

"When I went to Cirebon, there were two singers. So, Pipit sang a Malay song during the audition, then I tested her with a Cherrybelle song. Her voice is unique, her voice is cool. After discussing with Krisna Mukti as a jury member, Pipit passed," said Ivonne Mariana Inawade as the founder and Executive Producer of FIMM DISTRA, on Tuesday (29/3/2022).

"Salwa was chosen because she also has her own advantages, she is beautiful, unique, cute, and has a cute voice. That's why I kept her. Then Syla, she is also a singing champion even though she is only 14 years old. So she will be 14 soon, not too far from her older sisters. Aqila is also a spirited child, strong, very strong, and another one is Queen, she is unique, beautiful and cute," added Ivonne Mariana.

1. Different Concept

Ivonne Mariana mentioned through FIMM DISTRA, Salwa, Syla, Aquila, Queen, and Pipit were combined in a vocal group called CANTIQ. Of course, the presence of CANTIQ is not just enlivening the Indonesian music industry, but CANTIQ comes with a different concept.

"CANTIQ has members who wear hijab, that's what sets them apart from others," said Ivonne Mariana.

Not only creating a vocal group, but FIMM DISTRA also provides its students with cardio vocal training, blending vocals as a group, lyric expression, and running full songs as a show. This is done so that they can still perform perfectly when on stage.

2. Collaborating with AFI Alumni

Not sparing any effort for vocal and physical training, FIMM DISTRA collaborated with Haikal Baron, the runner-up of the second season of Akademi Fantasi Indosiar (AFI). On the same occasion, Haikal admitted that he was happy to be trusted to train the members of the CANTIQ group.

"I was very happy when Kak Ivon contacted me that Ivonne had auditioned several children to form the girl group CANTIQ. Then I was asked to mentor them for four meetings," said Haikal.

"These children are the new generation, good children who make me able to sing and dance well, and express themselves. As a performer and coach, I saw them being trained for two days, and they were ready to fight," added Haikal.

3. Packaged Differently

CANTIQ group's debut will release two singles at once, namely Bidadari and Tunggu Dulu. The two songs were created by Ivonne Mariana in 2012 (Bidadari) and 2015 (Tunggu Dulu).

Actually, the songs Bidadari and Tunggu Dulu have been previously performed by the girlbands The Charolla and Bening-Bening. Not wanting to be the same as before, the songs Bidadari and Tunggu Dulu will be packaged differently and more modern when sung by CANTIQ group.

"So we'll see the development for a year first, it's March-April now, we'll release the third, fourth, fifth song in late December," said Ivonne Mariana.

4. Feeling Proud

Being selected as part of the CANTIQ group, of course, makes Salwa, Syla, Aquila, Queen, and Pipit feel proud. How not, they get a lot of new lessons and experiences from FIMM DISTRA.

"If I'm basic at singing, I also dance. So I'm really grateful to meet Kak Haikal and Kak Ivonne who teach me how to sing. Well, it's fun to have new friends too," concluded Salwa.
