Release of the Misteria Album, Goodnight Electric Uses Indonesian Lyrics

Kapanlagi.com - Amidst the COVID-19 virus pandemic, the music group Goodnight Electric releases their latest album titled Misteria. This is Goodnight Electric's third album after previously releasing Love and Turbo Action in 2004 and Electroduce Yourself in 2007.

One thing for sure, this album is very different from the two previous Goodnight Electric albums. In this Histeria album, the band consisting of Henry "Batman", Foundation, Oom Leo, and Bondi Goodboy invited three of their old friends, Vincent Rompies (bass), Andy Hans (guitar), and Pricilla Jamail (vocals).

1. There Are Many New Things

There are so many new things in this Misteria album, one of which is the use of Indonesian lyrics. According to Batman, using Indonesian lyrics in Goodnight Electric's songs is because he wants to bring a new color to his music.

"When we first made VCR and Etorika, it was one of the things where we wanted to make something new again, and one of them is using Indonesian language. It's one of the tricks to be criticized and get public and media attention," said Batman in a virtual press conference via Zoom, on Friday (8/5/2020).

2. A Unique Challenge

Apparently, making songs with Indonesian language is a challenge for Batman. Especially compared to Goodnight Electric's previous songs, he didn't write them in Indonesian.

"Well, we are still learning to use Indonesian language, especially me, I'm the one who writes the lyrics. Still learning, it's quite challenging and interesting as we go along, because there are many languages and phrases, words that I've been looking up in the dictionary, turns out they are vast and we can use them. It's an interesting experience," he said.

3. Create Physical Album

The Misteria album has been released on digital music platforms, starting from Spotify, Apple Music, Joxx, Dezzer, YouTube Music, and Resso. Even though it is already available on digital platforms, Goodnight Electric plans to release the Misteria album in physical form.

"What is certain is that the physical form must still exist, there are some people who are crazy about physical copies, still love physical copies. Even though we know that everything has switched to digital, people who do anything want to touch their belongings," concluded Oom Leo.
