Release 'Tak Ingin Mengenalmu', Janita Gabriela Tells the Story of Unrequited Love

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Janita Gabriela is back with a new single after releasing the song Relakan Cinta about six months ago. This time, Janita is presenting the single titled Tak Ingin Mengenalmu, which can be listened to starting from May 22, 2024.

This new single by Janita still carries the theme of love. This time, she tells the story of disappointment towards herself because her love is unrequited.

However, amidst the disappointment, she still holds onto a glimmer of hope. She believes that one day she will find the right person.

"When we love someone, but it turns out that person doesn't truly love us, there is bound to be some disappointment in ourselves for making the wrong choice," said Janita Gabriela to the media, in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/21).

"But besides disappointment, there is also hope in 'Tak Ingin Mengenalmu' that someday, we will find someone who is sincere and truly wants to be with us. That is the message I want to convey through this song," Janita continued.

Tak Ingin Mengenalmu is her first self-written single. Janita is fortunate to be under Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI), which is always open and gives opportunities for its singers to improvise.

"This is the first time I have written a song after learning how to make a good song for a long time. After it was finished, I gave it to my label as an option for the third single. Thankfully, Sony Music responded positively and immediately chose it for my new song," she explained.

2. First Written Song

In the process of making it, Janita admitted that she did not experience any difficulties. In fact, she only needed 20 minutes to write the lyrics and then recorded the melody in a simple way.

"At that time, the chorus melody of this song kept playing in my head until I spontaneously recorded it with a voice note. There were some adjustments in terms of the lyrics during the recording process, but in terms of the notation, it remained the same as when it was first made," she explained.

Behind her joy of releasing a new single, Janita admitted to feeling worried about the listeners' response. This is because it is the first song she has written.

"There is an insecure feeling because this is the first song I have created and it is immediately chosen as the third single. I have given my best and hopefully my listeners can feel that when they hear this song," said Janita Gabriela.
