Reviving Indonesian Music Through Javanese Songs, Ririn D A Establishes Her Own Music Label

Kapanlagi.com - Ririn D A shows that age is not a barrier to creating and becoming a professional in the music industry. At just 17 years old, Ririn has officially established a music label called Ririn Mahakarya Nusantara Musik. You could say she is the youngest music producer in Indonesia.

Still sitting in the 11th grade of high school, Ririn not only pursues a singing career but also starts her journey as an entrepreneur. This decision is based on her considerable experience as a young sinden (traditional Javanese singer) on various local stages.

Ririn began her career by singing at her sister's wedding. That experience opened the door for her to the world of campursari (a genre of Javanese music) professionally.

"My sister got married and invited a campursari group for the wedding, and my family asked me to sing a tribute to my sister. I sang, and the next day the boss of the campursari group came to my house and offered me to sing. I agreed and was asked if I was comfortable after trying it out," said Ririn at her press conference on Monday (5/5/2025).

Her early journey was not always smooth, especially when she had to face unpleasant treatment from seniors. Ririn admitted that she sometimes felt uncomfortable, but she kept trying to persevere and prove her abilities.

1. Creator of Regional Songs

"At first, I was bullied by seniors. Due to limitations in makeup, clothes, and everything else. Initially, I was uncomfortable because of the bullying, but then my boss said to try again, if you're not comfortable, don't continue. I tried, thank God I was comfortable, and thus Ririn Sinden Gemoy was born," she expressed.

Ririn is also known as a lover of regional songs, especially Javanese music and sinden, which she has studied since childhood. Not just a hobby, her love for this has now turned into a grand mission to bring traditional music to a global level.

"Let's create in the field of music, let's revive Indonesian music, especially Javanese songs. We will bring it to all corners of the world," she stated.

Ririn and her team have scheduled the official launch of the YouTube channel and label Ririn Mahakarya Nusantara Musik on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. This moment also marks Ririn's first professional step as the youngest label owner in Indonesia.

"Make music with heart, make music with love. Then we can produce music of quality that has a soul within it," Ririn emphasized.

2. Release of Her Own Song

While continuing to learn and hone her vocal quality, Ririn is also starting to prepare for the release of her own song. In her journey as a sinden, Ririn has performed alongside popular names such as Bella, Pardi, Jasun, Mahesa, and even Denny Caknan. The opportunity to perform with Denny Caknan was even a nerve-wracking experience for her because she idolizes the singer.

"After performing with Mahesa in Kediri, I was called by Denny Caknan to create content together, 4 songs. I was definitely nervous, his name is Denny Caknan," she said.

The decision to create her own label was not made lightly. Ririn admits to being inspired by Denny Caknan and the late Didi Kempot, who successfully built the existence of Javanese music through independent channels.

3. Always Optimistic

"Looking at our seniors, there are Denny Caknan and Didi Kempot. If they can do it, why can't we?" said Ririn.

She also mentioned the support of her family and management team as the main reasons for daring to take this big step. Although she is not yet willing to reveal which artists will be signed by her new label, Ririn emphasizes that everything will be announced in due time.

"Just wait for it later. It's still a secret," she said.
