Sarcasm for People Who Prioritize Material and Appearance, Rapper Kara Chenoa Presents 'Missus Superficial (Poison)'

Kapanlagi.com - Rapper and songwriter, Kara Chenoa presents a new song titled Missus Superficial (Poison). Under Stacks, Urban Division from Warner Music Indonesia, Missus Superficial (Poison) was written to sarcastically criticize people who prioritize material and appearance only.

"This single is actually about starting a new relationship with someone who has high living standards. But does having high living standards mean that person is superficial?" Kara said on Friday (18/3/2022).

Being of the hip-hop genre, the song Missus Superficial (Poison) was produced together with Monty Hasan. A music producer who was involved in Kara Chenoa's first EP titled 'Sunkissed' released in 2021. Regarding the process of creating the song Missus Superficial (Poison), Kara herself did not take too long to work on the song.

"The process of writing and recording the song was actually quite fast. Maybe because both me and my producing partner, Monty Hasan, felt that the feelings and messages in this song are not unfamiliar to us," she said.

1. Black and White

Official Lyric Video Missus Superficial (Posion) released on the same day takes on a concept with the dominant colors of black and white. The concept itself is inspired by the early era of colored films and black and white photos. The model for the lyric video is Anya Zen, daughter of model Ratih Sanggarwati.

"In my opinion, the peak of luxury and class is in the black and white era and the early era of colored films, so I instantly imagined Audrey Hepburn as Missus Superficial (Posion). I am blessed to be able to work with Dani Huda and Jovian Fraiije as well as Anya Zen, one of the most elegant local beauties in the video," said Kara.

2. Not a Newcomer

Kara Chenoa is not a newcomer in the music industry. Aside from her EP, Kara has released singles such as '247' (2018) and 'Undercover Lover' (2019). She has also collaborated with Raisa on the song 'You Better Believe Me' last year and the song 'Let's Not Talk Too Much' in 2020 with Teza Sumendra.

As additional information, Kara Chenoa is under the umbrella of Stacks, Urban Division of Warner Music Indonesia, (C) 2022 Warner Music Indonesia. Stacks will be the label that brings Warner Music Indonesia musicians with Hip-hop, Rap, Soul, and RnB genres.
