Starting the Journey at SMEI, for Revenge Releases New Single Titled Sadrah

Kapanlagi.com-Band emo from Bandung, for Revenge, released a new single titled Sadrah on March 18, 2024. Sadrah is for Revenge's first single under the auspices of Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI).

"Sadrah", which the Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) defines as 'resigned' or 'surrendered', is an emo and pop-rock ballad lasting 4 minutes and 7 seconds, written and produced directly by for Revenge. Without the need for a long explanation, it feels not excessive for listeners to immediately hit the repeat button when "Sadrah" reaches the climax of the song.

Previously, for Revenge was known for their heart-wrenching works such as Jakarta Hari Ini, Serana, and others. Sadrah is even deeper, depicting a more heart-wrenching love tragedy complete with for Revenge's signature grand and emotional melody.

Although for Revenge's works are loved by Indonesian music lovers, the vocalist, Boniex Noer, does not want to become complacent. For him, for Revenge must continue to evolve because he is aware of the increasing expectations of music lovers towards for Revenge.

"The success of our works so far is something very magical for us. However, at the same time, we realize two important things. First, the public's expectations for our works are getting bigger. Secondly, we have to find a way to develop our musicality without leaving behind the DNA of Revenge. One thing for sure, we do not want to become stagnant musicians," explained Boniex Noer.

1. A New Beginning

Sadrah's presence under the SMEI umbrella marks a new beginning for For Revenge. Boniex Noer said that they are preparing a new album titled Perayaan Patah Hati-Babak Kedua (Broken Heart Celebration-Part 2). Not only that, they will also collaborate with musicians from different genres.

"If Perayaan Patah Hati - Part 1 is likened to a 'party', then we liken our upcoming album, Perayaan Patah Hati - Part 2, to a 'journey'. The song 'Sadrah' is just the opening, where the following songs will tell what happens next. Hopefully, friends out there are ready to follow the journey of our two main characters: Sera and Rana," said Boniex Noer.

"There are several collaborations with musicians or even professions from different fields that we want to do someday," added Boniex Noer.

As the new home for Revenge, Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia is ready to support Revenge's journey in the present and future. Keke Kananta, representing Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, explains that Revenge is a rare talent that should not be missed.

"Even before the explosion of 'Serana' and 'Perayaan Patah Hati - Babak 1', I could see that Revenge has always been a stable, productive band, supported by a very loyal fanbase," explained Keke Kananta.

"Even in 2024, I project that it will be a moment when modern bands are ready to shake up the Indonesian music industry -- a movement led by bands like Revenge. We have no intention of changing Revenge's identity. We only hope that we can help Revenge conquer even bigger stages and higher mountain peaks," he concluded.
