Kapanlagi.com - After successfully releasing singles like Dunia Belum Berakhir (The World Has Not Ended Yet), Nikmat Patah Hati (The Pleasure of a Broken Heart), and so on, Anarcute solidifies their journey by releasing a full album titled Hope+ on February 22nd with 14 tracks and an opening single titled Bosan (Bored).
This album has two sides, namely the negative side and the positive side. The negative side consists of seven songs with themes of despair, regret, anger, and vengeance. However, it is followed by the positive side which consists of seven songs with themes of hope, spirit, love, and self-acceptance.
Because this album has two sides, they titled it Hope+ (hope plus / which can be misheard as hopeless). They also applied the same concept (two sides) to the cover of their album, with the right side being bright and the left side tending to be dark. They released it on the exact date of 22.2.22
"The concept of this album is indeed all about two sides, hehe," explained Nobita, the vocalist and drummer.
Pop Punk band consisting of Kery Astina (vocals, bass), Hafizh Joys (vocals, guitar), and Nobita (vocals, drums), chose the song 'Bosan' as the opening song for the Hope+ album because they see the current situation where most of us are experiencing a phase of boredom in various aspects.
"Currently, many people are afraid and anxious about the future and end up doing things they don't love every day and repeatedly. We invite our listeners to break out of that cycle and start doing what they love so that life doesn't become boring. This song is about life choices. Because in our opinion, happiness is not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, or even the ultimate goal, but the journey of life. Here. Now!" expressed Anarcute.

In addition, the reason for choosing the song 'Bosan' to open the album is because it has an energetic beat, in line with the concept of the music video they have prepared.
"Actually, we had 3 song choices to open this album. Between the songs 'Bosan', 'Aku Disini', and 'Sosok Pengganti'. But we chose the song 'Bosan' because its music tends to be more energetic and more suitable for the concept of the music video we want to create in the opening of this Hope+ album," explained Hafizh.
The song 'Bosan' still revolves around the sub-genre of Pop Punk. In this song, they are heavily influenced by Pop Punk bands from the 2000s such as NFG, Sum41, Blink-182, and others. However, they add thin electronic touches that make it more modern.
"For the music video of 'Bosan', the concept is just having fun, where we combine the Band, Local Brands, Skateboards, BMX, and Kick Scooters in the Music Video. Because in our opinion, choosing to be a skateboard athlete, a band player, and opening a brand business is a form of courage to do something that suits our passion," said Kery.
In the making of the music video, it was directly handled by Kery (bass/voc) who is also a content creator and also Nobita (drum/voc) as a film graduate.
“We agreed to make music videos for all the songs in the Hope+ album.” Nobita said.
