Kapanlagi.com-After a long absence with new works, singer Div Ivangkia will come with something fresher. Yes, Div will release a new work, this time not alone but with Rio Anantha through the duo Saga.
For Div, the presence of duo Saga with Rio is one of his promises to his late mother. He promised not only to create, but also to help others through his creations.
"My promise to my late mother is that I want to have a career by helping many people. Although I am nobody now, there's no harm in lowering my ego to rise together. Coincidentally, Rio and I are both from Sumatra," he said when met in the Tebet area recently.
Duo Saga: Special
The introduction of Div and Rio occurred in 2021. However, at that time, they did not greet each other intensively. It was only at the end of 2023 that Rio responded to Div's post and invited him to collaborate.
"Actually, we've known each other since 2021 on one of the online platforms," said Rio.
"We got to know each other briefly, and at the end of 2023, Rio DM'd me in response to my post and invited me to collaborate. We met on January 1st, and we started recording right away. Everything happened very quickly," added Div.
The name duo Saga also emerged naturally. Of course, the name Saga comes with hopes for Indonesian music.
"Finally, we chose the name Saga, which means eternal beauty with the hope that my songs can last forever, until old age, and with the spirit of adventure. We hope this collaboration will bring more enthusiasm to explore music," explained Div.
Duo Saga: Special
Duo Saga will soon release their flagship single titled Lebih Gila. The plan is to release it at the end of February. This song is a creation by Div that has actually been released before. They also hope that with the presence of Duo Saga, they will bring something new to Indonesian music.
"Hopefully, the music can be accepted by all people," Rio hopes.
"The music has elements of the 90s. So, our hope is that those who listen to it will be carried back to the atmosphere of the 90s," Div added.
