Wake Up Iris! Show New Colors in Audeamus, a Song about Optimism for Tomorrow

Kapanlagi.com - Wake Up Iris! released their latest single titled Audeamus on October 30, 2020. Different from their previous releases, this music project led by Bie Paksi and Vania Marisca presents a wider arrangement. This is strengthened by the addition of instruments used in the arrangement of Audeamus. Without losing their identity, Wake Up Iris! shows new colors and new spirits in the midst of this chaotic situation.

Through Audeamus, Wake Up Iris! wants to convey a message. The world may not be in a good condition right now, but soon, without realizing it, we will be brought to welcome a new and enjoyable day. All our efforts to survive and prepare for something new will bear fruit tomorrow.

“We hope this song can be a remedy when we lose hope. Become a booster to survive, go through the day, and plan something bigger tomorrow,” said Bie Paksi.

“Hope must always exist, and we ourselves are the ones who will nurture that hope. Not others, ourselves,” added Vania Marisca.

In this single, Wake Up Iris! collaborated with Jovanka Oktaviane for the artwork. The young artist from Solo responded to the music of Audeamus and poured it into visual work. In the process, Audeamus artwork was inspired by tarot cards, animal spirits, and the sun. It's even more interesting because the release of this single will be followed by a lyric video involving sign language by the deaf community. The debut music video of Wake Up Iris! will be directed by emerging director, Jovian Fraaije.

Wake Up Iris! is a music project by Vania Marisca and Bie Paksi. They describe themselves as messengers from the universe. Wake Up Iris! music aims to provide a multidimensional experience to its listeners. They have participated in several national and international music festivals including SXSW (USA), Zandari Festa (South Korea), Soundrenaline, Folk Musik Festival, Musik Hutan, and various online music festivals in 2020.
