Watching Her Own Concert, Andien Can't Hold Back Tears

Kapanlagi.com - Celebrating 22 years in the music industry, Andien created a virtual concert titled "Melodi Monolog: Dan Lalu". This concert was exclusively and freely broadcasted on vidio.com on February 22, 2022.

Not held in a studio or grand stage, this concert took place in the open nature of De Djawatan Forest, Banyuwangi, East Java. The concept of the story chosen by Andien is very interesting as it tells the cycle of human journey divided into 3 phases, namely Mulai, Lerai, and Sampai.

There are 12 songs sung by Andien including Berlayar, Gemintang, Sahabat Setia, Indahnya Dunia, Milikmu Selalu, Moving On, and Pulang.

After watching her own concert, Andien couldn't hold back her tears and immediately hugged her beloved husband Irfan Wahyudi, also known as Ippe. Andien said that this performance was not only made to entertain the audience but also to tell the story of her life up to this point.

"Because I feel like this performance comes from the heart. I'm not trying to entertain the audience, but I'm trying to tell my journey that I feel is the journey of every human being. So, I'm touched because I feel like I've made it this far," said Andien when met in the SCBD area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (22/2).

"The first emotional moment is because of the story, because I know that everyone must go through various experiences in this world, but in the end, they all long for their home, long for their own journey back, whatever it may be," she said.

2. Unexpectedly Happened

In addition, Andien also did not expect that this concert could take place in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic situation. She remembers how she struggled to hold this concert. Moreover, the shooting was done out of town and involved many people.

"The second thing I remember is how stubborn I was in realizing this performance. Especially in a pandemic like now from 2020, I wanted to create a work but encountered many obstacles within myself maybe. How many times I wanted to give up but I didn't know how it finally happened," she explained.

"I myself don't believe that this could happen because shooting in the middle of a pandemic is not an easy thing, we involved almost 100 people in Banyuwangi when everyone is on guard, omicron is at its highest in Jakarta but it had to happen," Andien continued.

3. Message to be Delivered

Through Melodi Monolog: And Then, Andien hopes that everyone who watches can also reflect on their own life journey.

"I (want) people to really internalize every message. Actually, I'm not here to just tell my own story but also to see how people reflect on their own journey through my journey," said Andien.

4. Wishing for an Offline Concert Soon

Andien also hopes that someday she can bring this 'Melodi Monolog: And Then' to an offline concert and release the songs in an album. Because all the songs performed in this show are rearranged.

"Yes, I really want that. That's why I will ask each song's composer. I really want it because it has its own arrangement. I really want the concept to be turned into an offline event," she concluded.
