Kapanlagi.com - The government has been promoting the Non-Cash Movement program in recent years. One of its goals is to reduce the spread of the pandemic that may be attached to the cash we distribute.
In line with this, PT Mitra Transaksi Indonesia (Yokke) collaborated with PT Mitra Kasih Perkasa (MKP) to sign a digitalization and electronic ticket implementation cooperation on November 18, 2021. This collaboration focuses on the Tourism, Parking, and Traditional Market segments.
The selection of these 3 segments as the main focus is not without reason. Yes, the Tourism, Parking, and Traditional Market segments are important elements that are closely related to people's daily lives. Meanwhile, we know that the use of non-cash transactions is still relatively small.

Traditional markets are a place where communities engage in trade and are also the foundation of a region's economy. Farmers and fishermen engage in direct buying and selling of agricultural products in these traditional markets. These markets are usually managed by the Government, Local Government, Private Sector, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), or Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD).
According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), there are currently 16,235 traditional markets with 2.8 million traders. However, only about 475 markets have accessed digital services (such as e-commerce, e-retribution, QRIS, and others).
The digitalization of parking facilities, which is also the focus of Yokke and MKP's collaboration segment, is in line with the government's digital transformation and non-cash movement. This is important because digitalization benefits all parties involved. In addition to facilitating management, digitalization of parking also provides a sense of security and convenience for the public.
The third segment that is the focus is the tourism segment. The tourism industry is the most affected industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a 75% decrease in international tourists and around 30% decrease in domestic tourists, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
Slowly, after the decrease in positive cases began to stabilize, the tourism industry is starting to recover. The ability to adapt, innovate, and collaborate well is the key for tourism players to survive amidst the pandemic. One of the innovative efforts being made is the digitalization of tourism by expanding the implementation of electronic tickets or e-ticketing at tourist attractions.
Yokke's CEO, Niniek S. Rahardja, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in providing a complete digital payment solution for a wider segment, especially the traditional market segment that has not been touched yet.
"The comprehensive services provided by Yokke and MKP, which are user-friendly (for both managers and consumers) and affordable, can be a solution for easier, transparent, and accountable management of parking businesses, traditional markets, and tourist attractions. This digitalization is also a concrete manifestation of the expansion of non-cash movement in order to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission," said Niniek.
MKP's CEO, Nicholas Anggada, also explained about MKP's e-Ticketing system, which has proven to work well in various regions in Indonesia so far.
"With the digitalization and implementation of electronic tickets in various sectors, it greatly helps the public in conducting payment transactions because there is no longer an excuse for not visiting a location due to a lack of cash. This digital payment system is already capable of accepting payments using debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, and also QRIS. In addition, for managers, they will be greatly assisted by the easily usable digital infrastructure," added Nicholas.
MKP eTicketing's CEO also explained the revenue leakage challenges commonly faced by the tourism, parking, and market industries due to the absence of an integrated payment system at sales counters for visitors, and the risk of large cash in transit can be eliminated with the implementation of this digital system.
