According to buzzfeed, it is known that the youtuber gave away her adopted child after feeling that there was something strange about the child's behavior.

In some of her videos, Myka also raised $5 in donations and used the proceeds for Huxley's needs. Since those adoption journey videos with her child, Myka has become more well-known among parenting bloggers.

Myka also wrote an article about her experience adopting a special needs child who happens to be her adopted son, Huxley. In it, she wrote that when she brought Huxley home, she realized that her adopted child was suffering from a brain tumor and had level 3 autism and sensory processing disorder.
