Chinese New Year Celebration 2026 The Crimson Path at Senayan City, Offers Exciting Experiences and Promotions

Welcoming the Chinese New Year 2026, which falls on February 17, 2026, Senayan City presents The Crimson Path, a series of celebrations inspired by the journey towards prosperity, renewal, and new hope. Highlighting the red path as a symbol of life’s journey and good fortune, The Crimson Path becomes the common thread connecting the entire series of Chinese New Year celebrations at Senayan City this year.

Running until February 22, 2026, this celebration features immersive installations with a Chinese New Year theme, a series of cultural performances, as well as shopping and culinary programs designed to celebrate the New Year in a warm, meaningful, and joyful atmosphere.

"This year, Senayan City invites loyal visitors to celebrate the Chinese New Year through The Crimson Path located in the Promenade area, Ground Floor. As a symbol of the journey towards fortune and new beginnings, we hope this series of celebrations can provide a memorable and meaningful experience for all visitors," said Halina, Leasing and Marketing Communications Director of Senayan City.

As the center of the Lunar New Year 2026 celebration, The Crimson Path is an immersive installation that represents the journey towards prosperity, renewal, and togetherness. This installation invites visitors to traverse a visually striking red path as a metaphor for life's journey, growth, and luck.

The journey begins through a symbolic gate that represents a new beginning, leading to a red pagoda as the main focal point symbolizing stability, achievement, and continuity.

In front of the pagoda, a water element in the form of a river or reflective pond is presented as a symbol of the flow of fortune, harmony, and balance in life, complemented by floating lotus elements representing purity and renewal. This installation is enriched by the presence of the mei hwa tree, which symbolizes resilience, hope, and new spirit, values closely associated with the Lunar New Year celebration.

Built using wood and multiplex materials, The Crimson Path presents a modern interpretation of Chinese New Year symbols without displaying zodiac elements, while simultaneously creating a warm, elegant, and relevant visual experience for visitors of Senayan City.

The festivities of Chinese New Year are further enhanced by the presence of the Barongsai Tonggak on February 17, 21, and 22, 2026, at 16:30 WIB in the Main Atrium, Level 1.

The Lunar New Year experience is made even more complete with various exciting activities such as the Fortune Teller Experience, Color Analysis by Royal Selangor, and the Royal Selangor Pop-up Exhibition showcasing the Year of the Horse collection as well as collaborations with global brands like Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics, Harry Potter, and BE@RBRICK.
