The name Goed comes from the Laurentius family surname, Lin(?), which means forest. Laurentius revealed that the cakes they make are cakes that have assimilated with Dutch culture since the colonial era.
"We use the Dutch language for forest -> Bos, while for Goed
it is also the first name of our Chinese names Liang, which means good and is translated into Dutch as Goed," said Laurentius Vigo Suwono.

It's not a business if it doesn't face challenges, and the same goes for Laurentius and his brother. It is known that Laurentius, who is still studying and also the main baker of this business, certainly feels how difficult it is to run the business alone.
"Currently, we still do everything mostly just the two of us, so starting from baking, packaging, design, marketing, and others, we both take care of it," said Laurentius.
Not only that, another challenge is to meet the deadline for fulfilling orders during events. Orders can increase 20-30 times a day.

Laurentius and his older brother always try out new things, even though social media is still limited to Instagram. It is possible that they will also use TikTok and YouTube in the future.
"Our hope is to grow rapidly and provide these high-quality cakes to a wider audience. In the future, we also want to try expanding to cafes or bakeries," said Laurentius.
