1. Taubat Nasuha Prayer

Taubat Nasuha prayer, also known as Istighfar prayer, is a recommended sunnah prayer performed to seek forgiveness from Allah SWT for all sins and mistakes committed by a Muslim.

When a person has performed the Taubat Nasuha prayer correctly, a Muslim should not repeat the same sins or transgressions again.

The basis for recommending the performance of Taubat Nasuha prayer is found in the Quran in Surah At-Tahrim, verse 8, which means: O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow.

Allah greatly favors Muslims who truly repent and distance themselves from sinful acts. As stated in Al-Baqarah 2:222, which means: Indeed, Allah loves those who repent and loves those who purify themselves.

2. Time to Perform Taubat Nasuha Prayer

Taubat nasuha prayer is one of the absolute forms of prayer that can be performed at any time, whether during the day or night. However, there are several things that need to be considered, namely the forbidden times to perform taubat nasuha prayer:

- First, taubat nasuha prayer is forbidden from the second dawn until the sunrise.

- Second, from sunrise until the sun rises a spear's length.

- Third, when the sun is exactly in the middle until it appears to decline.

- Fourth, from Asr prayer until the sun sets.

- Fifth, when the sun is about to set until it completely sets.

However, some scholars state that the recommended time to perform taubat nasuha prayer is during the third of the night or during the tahajud prayer.

3. Intention of Repentance Prayer

The intention for repentance prayer is as follows:

Usholli sunnatat taubati rok'ataini lillahitaala

Meaning: I intend to perform the voluntary prayer of repentance, two units, for the sake of Allah SWT.

Similar to other prayers, repentance prayer is performed with two units and one salutation. It can also be performed with four units or six units. 5. Prayer of Taubat Nasuha

Astaghfirullahal Ladzii Laa Ilaaha Illaa Huwal Hayyul Qayyuumu Wa Atuubu Ilaihi.

Meaning: I seek forgiveness from Allah, there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence, and I repent to Him.

This istighfar recitation should be said 100 times while deeply contemplating its meaning in the heart with utmost sincerity.

After that, recite the repentance prayer:

Allahumma Anta Robbii Laa Ilaaha Illaa Anta, Kholaqtanii Wa Ana 'Abduka Wa Ana 'Ala 'Ahdika Wa Wa'dika Mastatho'tu.A'udzu Bika Min Syarri Maa Shona'tu, Abuu-U Laka Bini'matika Alayya, Wa Abuu-U Bi Dzanbii, Faghfirlii Fainnahuua Laa Yaghfirudz Dzunuuba Illa Anta.

Meaning:

O Allah, You are our Lord, there is no god but You, You created me and I am Your servant. I am in Your covenant and promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I acknowledge my sins. Therefore, forgive me, for no one can forgive sins except You. I seek Your protection from all the evil that I have done.
