Integrated Data, Key to Determining High-Quality and Competitive HR Special

Kapanlagi.com - The Covid-19 pandemic forces the more optimal use of digital services for people in all fields. Data quality as one of the mandatory components of digital implementation must also be improved to become better and more optimal. Data quality has been widely needed as a basis for policy making and program implementation.

If data is not managed well and optimally, the risks faced are inefficiency or wastage of resources and programs that are not effective or on target. The key to the success of national recovery in dealing with various problems faced recently is responsiveness, accuracy, adaptability, and good collaboration in processing data as a whole.

Satu Data Indonesia encourages data integration and government services through standardized governance and interoperable data. Integrated government services themselves can be realized if the data conditions are uniform and not overlapping.

1. More Directed

Through data governance and quality assurance, decision-making processes, policy formulation, and service development can be more directed and evidence-based. Integrated government data and services can facilitate the public in accessing and utilizing government services in various fields.

Minister's Expert Staff for Regional Development and Spatial Planning, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Oktorialdi, stated that one of the technical challenges currently faced by Indonesia is the lack of integrated data management.

"There are many data applications that have not been managed in an integrated manner. The diversity of references and data standards that have not been standardized poses technical challenges," said Oktorialdi in the webinar "The Importance of Quality Data in Building Quality and Competitive Human Resources," quoted from a written statement on Friday, October 29, 2021.

2. Directly Proportional

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Human Development, Society, and Culture, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Subandi, stated that good data quality is directly proportional to the improvement of human resource quality in Indonesia. Currently, the government has made the improvement of human resource quality a part of national priorities.

"Human development is one of the seven national priorities that we must truly prepare until 2024 so that in the future we have qualified and competitive human resources," said Subandi.

Rector of the Indonesian University of Education, M. Solehuddin, said that data and information for continuous quality improvement in education can be obtained, organized, and processed digitally and spatially, not only the number of participants and educational units, but also the educational process and its results so that they can be easily known from the micro to macro level. The improvement of education quality will have an impact on the improvement of human resources quality.

"The government needs to facilitate and ensure that regional governments, heads of educational units, and teachers are able to access and utilize data and information as a basis for making decisions and solving problems they face at their respective levels," he said.
