The black box from Lion Air JT 610 has finally been found by the Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion (YonTaifib) of the Indonesian Navy, which is part of the SAR team.
Out of the 2 black boxes, the one that has been found is the Flight Data Recorder, while the Cockpit Voice Recorder is still being searched for.

Why? This is because the black box has been submerged in seawater for a long time, so if it is taken out of the seawater, there is concern that it could damage the memory contained in the black box.

It is said that the divers were somewhat despairing in finding the black box, especially since the underwater currents where the black box was located were quite strong, which significantly hindered their efforts.
