Tears of Emotion! 13 Suspected Perpetrators of Police Post Destruction in Malang Meet Their Parents

Kapanlagi.com - Tears of emotion broke out in the Lobby of Malang Police, Monday (1/9/2025). 13 suspected perpetrators of the destruction of the Police Post and Police Sector were brought together with their respective families.

1. Status as Children

Out of the 13 suspected perpetrators, 6 of them are still classified as children. Tears flowed when the parents tightly embraced their beloved children.

Some parents even couldn't hold back their tears upon seeing their children entangled in legal cases due to anarchic actions.

2. Intentionally

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Malang Police, AKP Muchammad Nur explained that the meeting between children and parents was intentionally facilitated to understand the consequences of vandalism. Therefore, a shared awareness must be built that this action not only harms state facilities but also injures the sense of security of the community.

3. Still Looking for Other Perpetrators

"There are a total of four crime scene points and we are still trying to find other suspected perpetrators," said AKP Nur on Monday (1/9).

4. Legal Process Ongoing

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit added that although the families are allowed to go home, the legal process will continue. "You can go home after the meeting, but your children must return to the Malang Police Criminal Investigation Unit for further examination," he explained.

5. Prioritizing the Human Side

The Public Relations Officer of Malang Police, AKP Bambang Subinajar, added that they continue to prioritize humanitarian steps. "Six of the children are still minors. We facilitate meetings with their parents to create an emotional bond that can remind them not to repeat their actions," he said.

6. Promise Not to Repeat

Both the children and their parents, during the meeting, promised not to repeat similar actions. "They realize their mistakes and are committed to maintaining the region's safety. For us, this is part of the mentoring process," added Bambang.

7. Still Under Police Investigation

Nevertheless, the 13 suspected perpetrators are still under police investigation. Legal processes continue according to applicable regulations. However, it is ensured that the handling is done proportionally and humanely.
