The 1 Syawal 1443 H Isbat Session Will Be Held on May 1, 2022, Watch it Live on Vidio

Kapanlagi.com - The Isbat session or the determination of the 1 Syawal 1443 Hijriyah which is Eid al-Fitr 2022 will be held by the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) on Sunday, May 1, 2022. In the session, Kemenag invited Islamic community organizations (ormas) and representatives of ambassadors.

"We invite Islamic organizations to attend the early Syawal 1443 H isbat session which will be held on May 1, 2022. We also invite ambassadors from friendly countries," said Adib, Director of Islamic Religious Affairs and Sharia Guidance at Kemenag in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday (28/4).

1. Held Online and Offline

Furthermore, Adib revealed that the Ministry of Religious Affairs also invited the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission VIII, academics from several universities, leaders of Islamic boarding schools, as well as experts in astronomy. Regarding this year's Eid al-Fitr which is still in a pandemic situation, the early Shawwal 1443 H isbat session will be held both online and offline.

Offline, the isbat session will be held at the HM Rasjidi Auditorium, Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Jakarta. Meanwhile, participants who attend the session online will be facilitated through the Zoom application.

"The isbat session will begin with an explanation of the position of the crescent moon by the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Hijri Calendar Unification Team, followed by information on the results of the crescent moon sighting held at 99 points throughout Indonesia. Next, the start of Shawwal 1443 H will be determined by considering the results of calculation and sighting, as well as input from the participants of the session," he said.
