Kapanlagi.com - A tourist bus from Badung, Bali experienced brake failure and crashed into several cars and motorcycles in Batu City. As a result of the incident, 4 people died and several others were injured.
"The total number of casualties is currently 4 dead, hopefully it won't increase. We are still gathering data on the injured," emphasized AKBP Andi Yudha Pranatha, Wednesday (1/8/2025).
The bus accident occurred on Imam Bonjol Street in front of Batu Town Square (Batos) around 7:15 PM WIB. The bus lost control and crashed into several vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled along the road.
"For now, the cause is brake failure, but we are still studying or investigating further. Right now we are focused on helping the victims," stressed Yudha.

Victims lying on the road were subsequently rescued and taken to the hospital. No official information has yet been obtained regarding the injured victims in this incident.
"All victims were taken to Hasta Brata and Bhayangkara," he asserted.

Meanwhile, based on circulating CCTV footage, the bus, which is a combination of red and white and labeled Sakhindra Trans, was seen speeding down Jalan Imam Bonjol. The road conditions were indeed downhill and turned at the intersection of Jalan Patimura towards the city of Malang.
The bus with license plate DK 7942 GB came to a stop only a few hundred meters later. Meanwhile, on the back of the bus, there was a banner that read, 'Industrial Visit. SMK TI Bali Global Badung. Semarang-Yogyakarta-Malang'.
