The incident started when grandmother Rubingah visited one of the fruit vendors. She was seen buying flowers and carrying a bag placed on top of the mangoes.
Meanwhile, the vendor named Martini was busy serving customers when he caught grandmother Rubingah putting some mangoes into her bag. "I saw it, how did she (Rubingah) know? Her hand went into the box. She took my mangoes, a whole bag," said Martini.
2. Feeling Pity
Knowing that, Martini admitted that she had felt pity. She even called her grandmother back and asked for her mango to be returned in good condition.
"I feel sorry. I approached her (Rubingah). Then I told her to go home. I said not to do it again," Martini said.
3. Provoked Emotion

Unfortunately, after the incident, Rubingah was actually assaulted by a man named Ngadirin. He admitted that he was provoked when people around him started shouting at the grandmother with the term 'thief'.
"Someone shouted 'thief'. I reflexively kicked twice. Towards the bag and the hand," Ngadirin said, Wednesday (22/1).
4. Kicked and Dragged
In a circulating video, Rubingah was kicked by a man on the white bag she was carrying. The headscarf and mask she was wearing were also forcibly removed.
"Please forgive me, it didn't happen, sir," Rubingah said pleadingly, cupping her hands together. Unfortunately, instead of feeling pity, the man in the video also kicked her hand and dragged Rubingah to the market office.
