Gerald Situmorang was the first to reveal his prediction. According to him, the final match will be more exciting if it features major countries supported by world stars. He is backing Portugal to reach the final and hopes to see them face France or England.
"Portugal-France or not Portugal-England," said Gerald Situmorang when met at Emtek City, West Jakarta, Thursday (18/6/2026).
Meanwhile, Marco Steffiano has a different view. The Barasuara drummer predicts the ideal final will feature Spain and France.
"Wow, I don't remember the bracket. But for the final, it seems like Spain-France," said Marco.
According to Marco, both teams have very good squad depth. He considers the quality of both core and substitute players to be the main advantage of Spain and France compared to other countries.
"From the squad perspective, France and Spain are the most complete in every line. Even their substitutes are still very good. Even at the goalkeeper position, Spain has many options with equally good quality. If they can remain stable, it seems like a final," he explained.
On the other hand, Gerald admitted he is interested in seeing a duel between stars if Portugal manages to go far in the tournament. He hopes to witness a meeting between Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe on the biggest stage of world football.
"If facing France, it would be exciting because it’s Mbappe against Ronaldo. If facing England, it’s also interesting because of the long history of rivalry," Gerald concluded.
