Stalemate Mediation, Keisya Levronka's Family Claims Untar Has Not Fulfilled Compensation Demands

The civil lawsuit filed by the family of Lexi Valleno Havlenda against Tarumanagara University (Untar) originated from the failure of the mediation process between both parties. The family believes there has not been an agreement regarding the form of accountability for the incident of Lexi falling from the 6th floor of the campus building.

The family's attorney, Hendro Widodo, stated that communication has actually taken place several times. However, until now both parties have not found common ground.

"Indeed, we and our client have communicated several times with the Untar party, but we are still at a deadlock because what our client wants, you know, we are not demanding more and we are not demanding anything strange," said Hendro Widodo when met at the West Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (1/7/2026).

According to Hendro, the family is only asking for compensation for the losses they have incurred during Lexi's treatment process. "We are demanding in accordance with what our client has spent on Untar, but Untar has not been able to agree to that, that's it. That's why we are taking this legal action," he said.

Hendro also revealed that the campus believes the incident did not occur during an official university activity. According to him, this reason makes the family think that Untar is trying to avoid responsibility.

In line with her lawyer, Lexi's mother hopes that the trial process can serve as a middle ground for both parties to reach a fair agreement. "The intention is there, but we haven't reached an agreement yet, which is why we need a mediator here, so that at least what we hope for and what they will offer can be mutually accepted," concluded Lexi.
