7 Portraits of Jessica Iskandar with Her Three Children, Admits to Being More Patient and Organized as a Mother

Taking on the role of a mother to three children, Jessica Iskandar admits to experiencing many changes within herself. With the increase in responsibilities, she feels that she is now much more patient, disciplined, and organized in her daily life.

This was expressed by Jessica when she was met in the area of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/5/2025), after celebrating the birthday of her second son, Don Azaiah Jan Verhaag, who has just turned three years old.

"Yes, having three children is extraordinary, it turns out that taking care of one and three is very different. I have to be more patient, learn to manage my time, and can't be too impulsive anymore," said Jessica.

With three children of different ages, Jessica has to be smart about dividing her attention and energy. She admits that she is starting to get used to a busy routine, from dropping them off at school to managing household needs.

"In the past, I could still relax or lie down, but now I can't. I have to wake up early, prepare this and that, and also accompany the kids to play or learn," she added.

"If it weren't for Vincent, I might be crying every day. He is very supportive, so we can divide the tasks. I handle more of the household and the kids, and he actively helps too," Jessica explained.

"The first, second, and third child all have different characters. So I can't use the same approach. I have to keep trying and adjusting while observing their responses," she revealed.

Jessica also feels that being a mother of three makes her more sensitive and trained in reading home situations. "Yes, now I can tell what's wrong with this child just from their gaze. It's like my instincts are getting sharper, maybe because I'm used to it," she mentioned.

Although physically and mentally tired, Jessica feels happy because her children are growing up healthy, cheerful, and full of love. That is the source of her motivation every day. "I am tired, yes, but seeing them smile, hug me, and then say 'mama, I love you,' makes all the fatigue disappear instantly," she said with a smile. /aal
