For the mother of one child, a full stomach is the top priority while on the shooting location. Ria Ricis admitted she couldn't resist feeling hungry, especially because of the quite cold weather in China. "Because this mother of one, this widow, is always hungry," said Ricis.

The cold weather in Ningxia turned out to present its own challenges for Ricis in maintaining her stamina. She feels her body gets hungry more quickly every time she leaves the shooting location. "So if the others go somewhere, maybe to a tourist spot, I don't want to, I just want to find something to eat, I'm hungry. I'm always hungry," said Ricis.

Ricis expressed her happiness to be a part of this film project alongside other actors. She feels she has been given the opportunity to gain acting experience while also enjoying a new atmosphere. "It's really fun to be part of this project, especially since it's being filmed in China, a new experience," said Ricis.

However, behind the excitement, Ricis also has to adapt to various things, including unique local food. She said it became an unforgettable interesting experience while being there. "The food is different, I’m very much Indonesian in taste, so sometimes I have to find what suits me first," said Ricis.

For Ricis, the opportunity to shoot abroad is one of the valuable moments in her career journey. She feels she can learn a lot from the culture and the way the production team works in other countries. "I learned a lot, in terms of time discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail," said Ricis.

In addition, Ricis also mentioned that she feels more relaxed during the shooting process because of the supportive atmosphere. She appreciates the entire production team that has worked together professionally. "The team is really fun, so we don’t feel like we’re working, but we still stay focused," revealed Ricis.

With the new spirit she brings from China, Ricis hopes this film will be well received by the audience in Indonesia. She is optimistic that the story presented will deliver a strong message while also providing touching entertainment. "I hope this film can entertain and convey a good message as well, please pray for us," concluded Ricis.

In addition to Ria Ricis, this film also features a number of talented young actors and actresses, including Yasmin Napper, Baskara Mahendra, Emir Mahira, Ferry Salim, and Lolox. Director Guntur Soeharjanto has been entrusted to work on the sequel to the film 'ASSALAMUALAIKUM BEIJING'. Set in the city of Ningxia, the film is scheduled to be released on June 19, 2025.
