Kapanlagi.com - The sad news of the passing of legendary comedian Nurul Qomar leaves deep sorrow for his colleagues, including Denny Cagur.

Denny went straight to the location to pay his last respects to Qomar without having time to return home.

"Considering the time, it was quite a journey of 1.5 hours. If I went back first, it would be late to get here. So I went straight here. Today we came to pray that the deceased gets the best place beside Allah and that the family is given fortitude," said Denny Cagur at the funeral home, Tangerang area, Tuesday (8/1/2025).

Denny also received stories from the family about Qomar's long struggle against the illness he has been suffering from for the past three years. According to him, Qomar is a very strong and spirited person in facing his health condition.

"Yes, I also got a story from the family earlier. Friends are amazed by his struggle against the illness he suffers from. Yesterday I heard the story when I went home, but it turns out he had to return to the hospital, and today I received news that is (not good). Well, I hope this is for the best," he said.

Denny remembers Qomar as someone who always brought happiness wherever he was. Even among comedians, Qomar remained the center of attention with his unique behavior.

"When we gather at the PASKI event, he is the comedian among comedians. In the midst of other comedians, he always entertains us, there are always unique things he does that make us laugh," reminisced Denny.

Nurul Qomar passed away on Wednesday (1/8/2025). The member of the comedy group Empat Sekawan breathed his last after several days of intensive care at RSUD Tangerang due to colon cancer.

Nurul Qomar had previously been treated for colon cancer that recurred after being declared cured in 2022. This disease was first diagnosed in September 2021. At that time, he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer and had to undergo 11 rounds of chemotherapy.

After undergoing a long and difficult treatment process, Qomar was finally declared cured in June 2022. However, the cancer returned and ultimately took his life.
