Hotma Sitompul is not only known as a seasoned lawyer but also as a father, leader, and servant who has left an invaluable legacy for his family. This was conveyed directly by his son, Ditho Hasian Sitompul, in his speech at his father's funeral at San Diego Hills Memorial Park, Karawang, West Java, on Saturday (19/4/2025).

"For the past 3 days, we have continued to witness how good and extraordinary God is in our lives. Even in a time of mourning like this, we see God's presence and faithfulness to our family is endless," said Ditho.

Ditho remembers his father not as someone who left behind wealth, but rather a spiritual legacy that is more meaningful. He emphasized that faith is an important part that his father passed on to his family. "Yesterday I shared about the inheritance of faith, dad inherited the Christian faith, and I see that dad is a hero of faith for us," he continued.

"That is a great legacy for us, which is generosity. Thirdly, the soldier shift, for us, dad is a very good leader. He can be firm yet gentle," Ditho explained.

In his memories, Hotma Sitompul never got angry or acted harshly. Instead, Hotma's firm yet loving attitude made his family respect him as a true leader.

"That's why, in my opinion, dad has become the father of the lawyers in the office. And all the alumni also feel that he is their father," he said.

"And I witnessed throughout his life, how he practiced that in the office, in the family as a good leader for us," said Ditho.

Hotma Sitompul is also known for his dedication to service. He established LBH since 2022 as a tangible proof of his devotion to humanity and God.

"And our family is very grateful to receive those four legacies. And of course, our family will continue what has been passed down," concluded Ditho.
