This was conveyed directly by his son, Ditho Hasian Sitompul, in a speech at his father's funeral at San Diego Hills Memorial Park, Karawang, Saturday (19/4/2025).

"Basically, we really have a lot of respect for him," said Ditho with a tone full of emotion in front of the mourners.

According to Ditho, the leadership style of Hotma was very different from most authoritarian figures. He never yelled or acted harshly, yet was still respected by his children and the entire family. "And his firmness made us look up to him even though he didn't do it by yelling, we still obeyed. That was in the family," he said.

"And I witnessed throughout his life how he practiced that in the office, in the family as a good leader for us," he continued.
