The body of senior lawyer Hotma Sitompul has been buried at San Diego Hills Memorial Park, Karawang, West Java on Saturday (19/4/2025). The burial ceremony was conducted solemnly with military honors as a form of appreciation for his contributions during his lifetime.

Before proceeding to the burial, a closing casket worship ceremony was held first at the funeral home in the Antasari area, South Jakarta. The worship began at 07:00 WIB and lasted for about one and a half hours. Let's check it out in full! If not now, when?

After the service, the body was transported to the burial site at around 08:30 WIB. The departure ceremony was conducted with a military ceremony, and the coffin was carried using a military ambulance.

The coffin of Hotma Sitompul was wrapped in the Red and White flag. Upon arrival at the burial site at 10:30 WIB, the TNI troops accompanied the procession with drum rolls and a salute as a final tribute.

"The service star awarded, Satya Lencana Kebaktian Sosial," stated Lieutenant Colonel Sony Adi from the Jakarta Permanent Garrison Command as the ceremony inspector.

After the coffin was lowered into the grave, the Red and White flag was unfurled by the military troops. The ceremony continued with symbolic soil burial, starting with a family representative and the ceremony inspector.

The funeral procession was accompanied by prayers of praise from the Christian community and concluded with the scattering of flowers. Family members and mourners took turns paying their last respects to the founder of LBH Mawar Saron.

"Thank you to everyone who has come today," said Ditho Sitompul representing the family, with a trembling voice holding back tears.

Hotma Sitompul took his last breath on Wednesday (16/4/2025) at 11:15 AM WIB at RSCM Jakarta. He passed away after battling complications from heart and kidney disease since last year.

"We are also grateful that we still had a second chance from January to April. It may have been short, but for our family, it was the biggest moment," concluded Ditho Sitompul.
