9 Portraits of Ikang Fawzi at His Brother's Funeral, Trying to Stay Strong While Reciting the Call to Prayer at the Grave

Sad news comes from the family of senior musician Ikang Fawzi. His brother, Ahmad Syamsunilwan Fawzi bin Abdul Rani, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

On that occasion, Ikang Fawzi also reminisced about his brother with deep emotion. In front of the media crew, he tried to bravely provide a statement. 

The body was dispatched from the funeral home after the funeral prayer around 14:30 WIB. The funeral prayer took place at the Nurul Muhajirin Mosque, PDK Lebak Bulus Complex.

Ahmad Syamsunilwan Fawzi was then buried at the Kampung Kandang cemetery. Ikang Fawzi appeared to pray sincerely at the burial site, accompanying his brother to his final resting place.

This news was directly confirmed by Bela Fawzi, Ikang Fawzi's daughter, through her Instagram Story. The deceased took his last breath at 06:20 WIB.

Condolences flowed from various circles, including relatives, fellow musicians, and fans. The sad expression could not be hidden from the father of two children, even though he remained strong.

"I will send my brother off as best as I can, until the last moment at his grave, with good Islamic manners, and I will do the same for my wife, of course," said Ikang Fawzi in a statement to the media on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Ikang Fawzi, who recently lost his wife, Marissa Haque, is now burying another family member and performing the call to prayer for his brother at the grave.

For him, the passing of Ahmad Syamsunilwan Fawzi is a great loss to the family. He ensured that the deceased was buried with good Islamic manners.
