The condition of Fahmi Bo, who is now lying paralyzed and helpless, is not a sudden event. It is the culmination of a long struggle over three years against an illness that gradually took away his ability to move.

This senior actor recounts the painful journey he had to go through. He states that his current condition is the hardest phase he has ever experienced since he first fell ill.

"It's been 3 years," said Fahmi Bo when asked how long he has been struggling during an interview at his rented place in Jalan Panjang, West Jakarta, on Monday (29/09/2025).

Before he could no longer move at all, Fahmi reminisced about the time when he still had a little strength to be active independently, albeit with great difficulty.

He recalled that he could still move around by crawling or holding onto the walls and furniture around him. That moment, which once felt heavy, has now become a luxury he longs for.

"Back then we could still crawl, still go to the bathroom, still hold on at that time, could move here and there while being supported. Here I could crawl," he reminisced.

However, all of that changed drastically in the last four months. The strength in his legs seemed to have completely vanished, leaving him now only able to resign himself on the bed.

This phase is what he refers to as the lowest point in his struggle. "It's been about 4 months like this, you know," he added.

This flashback provides a picture of how progressive and terrifying the disease he suffers from is. From being able to manage independently, he now relies entirely on the help of others to do even the simplest things.
