Accelerated, Rima Melati's Body Will Be Buried Tomorrow at Tanah Kusir Cemetery

Kapanlagi.com - The family has moved up Rima Melati's burial to Saturday (6/25). Initially, the family planned to hold the burial procession on Sunday (6/26) at Tanah Kusir Cemetery, South Jakarta.

"The original plan was Sunday afternoon, but after discussing it with the family, we decided on Saturday at 2 pm at Tanah Kusir," said Aditya Tumbuan, Rima Melati's son, when met at Rumah Duka Sentosa, Central Jakarta, Friday (6/24).

1. Closing Ceremony

Rima Melati's body is planned to be buried in the afternoon. Before that, a closing ceremony will be held before taking her mother to her final resting place.

"So the procession will be at 12 o'clock, we will hold a closing ceremony or farewell ceremony, it won't take long, maximum 30-45 minutes, get ready, we're going to Tanah Kusir," he said.

2. Buried Above Her Mother's Grave

In addition, Rima Melati's body was initially going to be buried above her husband's grave. However, the family ultimately decided to bury her above her mother's grave.

This was because Frans' grave was already piled three high, making it impossible to add another.

"So we decided to close it above her mother's grave," Aditya concluded.

As a reminder, Rima Melati breathed her last at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Rima Melati suffered from complications, namely her lungs and kidneys.
