The legal case involving actor Ammar Zoni has entered a new chapter after he officially appointed a new legal representative. Ammar Zoni chose Krisna Murti to assist him in the legal process related to the ongoing drug abuse and trafficking case.

Currently, Krisna Murti and his team in Jakarta are quickly working to review all case documents. This step is taken to understand the legal framework from the beginning of the case as it unfolded in the police and through the trial.

"It is true that I have received the authority from Ammar Zoni to accompany him in the ongoing legal process," said Krisna Murti on Monday (27/4/2026).

This appointment requires Krisna to work extra as he has not been overseeing this case from the beginning. He emphasized the need for thoroughness before determining the stance or legal steps to take next for Irish Bella's ex-husband.

Krisna Murti explained that he must review the entire trial process that has taken place. This includes examining evidence and the testimonies of witnesses that have been presented in court.

"Currently, his team in Jakarta is studying all the case documents since the beginning of the case," said Krisna Murti.

As of now, Krisna admitted that he cannot provide a further stance regarding Ammar's defense. He still needs to examine the case files thoroughly to ensure no legal points are overlooked.

"I cannot provide a further stance regarding the legal steps that will be taken because I am still reviewing the case documents thoroughly," said Krisna Murti.

In addition to focusing on the documents, Krisna revealed that he has not yet met face to face with Ammar Zoni. That meeting will take place in the near future after his matters abroad are settled.

"My plan is to meet Ammar Zoni after returning from China, possibly on the 3rd," explained Krisna Murti.

Ammar Zoni himself has recently received a heavy sentence from the panel of judges. The actor was sentenced to 7 years in prison and a fine of Rp1 billion related to a narcotics case that has ensnared him for the third time.
