Anwar revealed that the experience happened spontaneously. He recounted that that night he knew he would be a guest on a program discussing Mpok Alpa, so his mind was focused on the deceased. He confirmed the events he experienced last night.
"Last night, last night. Because I knew I would be a guest today, what would be discussed? Discussing Mpok Alpa. Oh, okay. Since his family is also here, I decided to come, I said it like that," Anwar said when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (26/8/2026).

Initially, Anwar admitted he was hesitant to attend the event. Not because he did not want to remember, but he was worried he would not be able to hold back his sadness and would fall back into mourning. He explained his inner struggle before deciding to come.
"At first, I thought like, I don’t want to discuss this, I mean it’s not that I don’t want to remember but I’m afraid I’ll get sad again," he revealed.

That feeling might be what makes it hard for him to sleep late at night. After performing the Fajr prayer, Anwar tried to sleep for a while, but it was at that moment that the image of Mpok Alpa appeared. According to him, the figure of the late one appeared briefly in front of his eyes.
"So yeah, I can't sleep at night. After the Fajr prayer, I slept a bit, that's why I woke up late, right. I saw her flash in my eyes," he said.

In his vision, Anwar did not see Mpok Alpa speaking or giving any message. Her figure just appeared briefly without sound, which made him immediately try to think rationally. He also tried to convince himself that it was just an effect of his mind.
"It was like Mpok Alpa, she didn't say anything. I just said to myself, 'Ah no, this is my obsession,'" he said.

Anwar realized that lately his social media timeline has been filled with videos of memories with Mpok Alpa. He suspects that the intensity of seeing those contents is what triggered his mind to project the image of his friend. He concluded the cause of his experience by himself.
"Because now if we watch videos, it's just Mpok Alpa all over on social media. That's how it is, my dear," he said.

Not only that, Anwar also reminisced about a sweet promise he once made to the late one, which was to prepare a special kebaya for her wedding day later. Anwar recounted his friend's last request with teary eyes.
The memory began when Mpok Alpa was still hospitalized, where she had asked when Anwar would get married. That request came after Anwar had given Mpok Alpa a kebaya uniform during his sister's wedding. Anwar also recalled his last dialogue with Mpok Alpa about the kebaya.
"If yes, because that was a message from Mpok Alpa. When I was at the hospital, Mpok Alpa said this, 'War, when am I going to see you get married?' Because at my sister's wedding, my sister who got married recently, Mpok Alpa came, right? I gave her a kebaya," Anwar reminisced.
