Anwar BAB's Hilarious Response When Asked 'When Are You Getting Married' Until His Hope to Meet Ramadan Again

Kapanlagi.com - Celebrating Eid, Anwar BAB seems to have also experienced the annoying moment of being asked "when are you getting married" or "when are you getting hitched." This question seems to have become the most annoying thing for singles when gathering with their extended family during Eid. Although he often receives such questions from neighbors and mothers in his neighborhood, Anwar has his own unique and funny way of responding to avoid feeling pressured.

Anwar admitted that he sometimes feels annoyed by questions he considers too intrusive into his personal affairs. With his characteristic humor, he even joked about wanting to give an unexpected reply to anyone who dares to ask that sensitive question at the dinner table.

"I’ll throw stew with dodol and uli. Seriously, there were even mothers in the past who said that and I cursed them. They said, 'When are you getting married?' 'Can you be quiet, ma'am? When are you, ma'am? You’re being called by Allah.' Wow...," joked Anwar BAB when met in the Munjul area, East Jakarta, on Monday (24/03/2024).

1. Having a Close Relationship with Parents

Behind his jokes, Anwar actually has a very strong bond with both of his parents. He recounts how the warm yet emotional atmosphere breaks out every time they finish performing the Eid prayer.

Forgiveness becomes a routine that must be done, although he admits that he still likes to argue with his parents during the day after the moment of forgiveness is over.

"Yeah, it feels good. After Eid, we ask for forgiveness, right? After the Eid prayer, everyone is crying. 'Huuhu, forgive me,' that’s what my mom and dad say. But then, in the afternoon, I end up sinning again, getting angry at my parents. Usually, it’s like that," he said.

2. Sincere Prayers Despite the Jokes

Regardless of the jokes and the hustle and bustle of the celebration, Anwar still slips in sincere prayers for his future. He feels very grateful because many of his prayers from previous years have been answered by God. His main focus right now is to ask for health and a long life so he can be reunited with the holy month of Ramadan and Eid in the coming years.

"My prayer is that it will be like this. Every Eid, every Ramadan is my prayer being answered from last year. This year I pray again, 'Oh Allah, may you prolong my life, let me reach Ramadan next year,' something like that," he expressed.

3. Wants to Make Good Use of Time

For Anwar, his presence during the month of Ramadan each year is an uncertainty known only to the Creator. Therefore, he wants to make the most of every moment to continue worshiping and maintain a balance between work and spiritual matters.

"Ramadan will definitely come, but we don't know if we will be there or not," he explained.
