Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven Attend Their First Divorce Hearing Without Speaking to Each Other

Kapanlagi.com - Celebrity couple Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven attended their first divorce hearing at the South Jakarta Religious Court. Both appeared neatly dressed in an elegant style but did not show personal interaction when they met in the courtroom.

Baim Wong was seen wearing a white shirt paired with a blue blazer, while Paula looked graceful in a sky-blue shirt and gray hijab. Although they appeared coordinated in their looks, their relationship seems to be quite different now.

Baim and Paula were accompanied by their respective legal representatives. Baim entered the courtroom first and took a seat to the right of the judge. Shortly after, Paula entered with her legal team and sat on the left side of the judge as the respondent.

1. No Greetings

Throughout the court session, neither of them greeted or spoke to each other. They appeared focused on listening to the judge's explanations without showing any communication between them. The tension or awkwardness was not too visible, but it was clear there was a distance between this once-close couple.

After the session, Baim Wong spoke to the media. He admitted that the meeting with Paula in the courtroom felt just normal, as they had not lived together for more than seven months.

"Just normal, I’ve met (Paula) often," Baim said briefly, while walking towards the mosque located in the area of the Religious Court, Wednesday (23/10/2024).

Meanwhile, Paula did not want to comment on anything related to the trial she was undergoing. The mother of two only confirmed that she was doing fine.

"I’m healthy," Paula said while passing by.

2. Baim's Divorce Case

As previously reported, Baim Wong filed for divorce from Paula Verhoeven on October 7, 2024, through the e-court system. This divorce petition was made by Baim to end their marriage, which has been ongoing since 2018. In his lawsuit, Baim also requested custody of their two children.

One of the main reasons behind Baim's decision to divorce is the alleged infidelity committed by Paula. However, until now, neither Baim nor Paula has provided detailed clarification regarding the issue.

During their six years of marriage, Baim and Paula have been blessed with two children, namely Kiano Tiger Wong and Kenzo Tiger Wong. Their household life had previously often appeared harmonious on social media, making the news of their divorce shocking to many parties.
