Bobby Joseph Admits to Consuming Synthetic Tobacco Since 2020, Placed Under the Bed

Kapanlagi.com - Soap opera actor Bobby Joseph admitted to investigators that he has been consuming synthetic tobacco narcotics since 2020. This was conveyed by the Head of Narcotics Investigation Unit of South Jakarta Police, Commissioner Achmad Ardhy.

"According to BJ's confession, he has been using this synthetic tobacco since 2020," Achmad Ardhy said at South Jakarta Police, Tuesday (25/7/2023).

"This tobacco is indeed new. Because its psychoactive substance is higher than marijuana, and it is more dangerous if it circulates in society," Ardhy added.

1. Secured Evidence

From Bobby's arrest, the police managed to secure evidence in the form of a clear plastic clip containing 0.46 grams of synthetic tobacco, as well as 2 pieces of paper. Interestingly, the police also revealed where they found the evidence.

"BJ placed the evidence under the mattress. When apprehended, BJ admitted that the items belonged to him," said Ardhy.

2. Previously Confiscated Items Consumed

From his confession, Bobby bought 5 grams of the illegal substance. What the police found was the remaining amount that had already been consumed.

"That's the leftover. So it has been used by the person involved. Originally 5 grams, but when we arrested him, we found 0.46 grams. That's according to the suspect's confession," revealed Ardhy.

3. Charged under Article 112

For his actions, Bobby is charged under Article 112 paragraph 1 subsidiary Article 127 paragraph 1 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.

As a reminder, Bobby Joseph was apprehended by the South Jakarta Police Narcotics Unit at his residence in Cinere, South Jakarta. Bobby was arrested on suspicion of abuse and possession of synthetic tobacco narcotics.

When apprehended on Friday, July 21, 2023, at approximately 21:00 WIB, the police successfully seized evidence in the form of a transparent plastic clip containing 0.46 grams of synthetic tobacco, and 2 pieces of paper.
