Fariz RM once again drew public attention after undergoing his second trial related to the drug case against him. This senior musician was arrested in the Bandung area after allegedly buying marijuana and methamphetamine from someone named ADK.

In his statement after the trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (19/6/2025), Fariz did not deny that he regretted what had happened. However, he admitted he is just an ordinary human who is not free from mistakes.

"I do regret it, but I am an ordinary human. I am an ordinary human who is not free from mistakes. Mistakes are definitely part of life. I am not a perfect human," said Fariz in a soft tone.

He added that everything happening now is a great life lesson. Although this is not the first time he has stumbled upon a drug case, Fariz is trying to be more introspective.

"But in this matter, what I believe is that Allah is All-Knowing, knows everything that is happening, so we just follow everything until the end," he added.

Fariz RM was arrested on February 18, 2025, at a travel shuttle bus in Bandung. He was secured shortly after ADK, who is said to be the supplier of the illicit goods.

This marks the fourth time he has dealt with drugs. In the previous case, he was rehabilitated for a year starting from August 27, 2018.

Despite facing a heavy legal process, Fariz still takes the time to be grateful. He mentions the many supports flowing in from his family, especially his wife and children.

"God willing, I just pray while I am in detention, I only hope that they are all in good condition," said the singer of the song Sakura.

He also admitted to being happy because during his detention, his wife and family regularly visit and encourage him. "Oh, yes, my wife often comes to (the detention center)," he said.

Fariz RM hopes the next trial can provide clarity on the case against him. He also hopes to return to creating music in the Indonesian music industry soon.
