Court Grants His Request to Be Gala Sky's Guardian, Haji Faisal Cries

Kapanlagi.com - Haji Faisal and his family, along with their legal counsel, went to the West Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. They came to find out directly the decision of the judges regarding their lawsuit to obtain guardianship rights for Gala Sky Andriansyah.

From observations on the ground, Haji Faisal came to the West Jakarta Religious Court accompanied by his wife and son, Frans, around 1:00 PM. Then his other children, Fadli and Fuji, followed with their respective vehicles.

After waiting for about an hour, finally Haji Faisal's family, accompanied by their legal counsel, came out of the room with a document.

"So today's agenda is actually the reading of the verdict. Actually, through e-court. But we agreed to come here to formally request a printed copy and it happens that we haven't read it yet. Now I'm reading it," said Shandy Arifin, Haji Faisal's legal counsel.

Shandy said that in the decision document with case number 3315 PDTG 2021, the West Jakarta Religious Court rejected the exception of Doddy Sudrajat as the defendant. They granted Haji Faisal's request entirely.

"So alhamdulillah, our lawsuit has been granted entirely," said Shandy Arifin.

2. Grant Access to Doddy

The court, Shandy continued, has determined that Gala Sky Andriansyah is under the guardianship or custody of Haji Faisal and Mother Dewi Zuhriati. However, they requested that Haji Faisal grant visitation rights to Doddy.

"With the obligation to still provide access to Doddy Sudrajat as the defendant and grandfather of the child from the mother to meet with the child," said Shandy.

Then, the court appointed Haji Faisal and his wife as guardians of Gala Sky Andriansyah. They will be guardians until Gala Sky reaches the official age of adulthood.

"Appointing Haji Faisal as a guardian and as a guardian can represent the underage child regarding all legal actions outside the court," he said.

Upon hearing this, Haji Faisal looked happy. He hugged his wife, children, and also his legal counsel. So happy, Haki Faisal couldn't hold back his tears.

"So the contents of the decision are thankfully in line with expectations. I feel very touched, even though I was sure the decision would be like that from the beginning," said Haji Faisal.

5. Not in Vain

According to Faisal, his struggle so far has not been in vain. For the sake of his grandson's well-being, he is willing to sacrifice his time, money and energy.

"This struggle has been quite long. My intention was to save my grandson. But it took me 5 months of effort, thoughts and expenses. That's why I'm touched," he said.
