Current Condition of Uya Kuya's Cat Rescued by Sherina, Causes Concern

Sherina shared the latest news about one of the pets belonging to Uya Kuya that was also attacked by a mob on Saturday night (30/8/2025). Out of around 16 to 20 cats being bred at Uya Kuya's house, a female British Shorthair was successfully rescued.

The cat is now under Sherina's care, who voluntarily became a foster. After being examined by a veterinarian, it was found that the condition of the calico cat is quite concerning as it is considered too small for its age.

Sherina immediately took the rescued cat to the veterinarian on the same day for a thorough examination. This step was taken to quickly determine the medical condition and care needs.

From the dental examination, it was found that the cat was 8–9 months old. However, its body was too small compared to the normal standard for that age.

The cat's weight was only 1 kg, which should be the ideal weight for 4-5 months old. This underweight condition indicates a problem with nutrition or severe stress.

Despite the thin physical condition, the cat's breathing was normal and no respiratory problems were found. This was good news amidst a rather concerning condition.

The cat's body is infested with fleas and fungi that likely did not appear just in the last 1–2 days. This condition is feared to trigger anemia due to continuous blood loss.

From the examination of the cat's fecal sample, a slight overgrowth of normal bacteria was found, which is suspected to have occurred due to decreased immunity or prolonged stress.

Indira Diandra, an animal welfare activist who is addressing this issue alongside Sherina, revealed that the search for other cats is still ongoing while continuing to coordinate with Cinta Kuya.

"I am in direct contact with Cinta Kuya as the child of the owner of these cats. Here is the list of cats that have been stolen/rescued or are missing. I ask for the community's help to search on social platforms or animal markets. I plan to coordinate with an independent rescue team," she explained.
