Detective Doctor Rejects 5 Billion from Richard Lee, Delivers Peace Terms

The case between Detective Doctor and Doctor Richard Lee began from consumer reports regarding skincare products marketed by Richard Lee. The reports were submitted to the Metro Jaya Police with allegations of violations of the Consumer Protection Law and the Health Law, after several buyers claimed to have suffered losses due to the product. Detective Doctor emerged as the reporter demanding justice for the purchasing public, and the investigation process is still ongoing at the Metro Jaya Police.

Detective Doctor, affectionately called Doktif, stated that he is still leaving room for reconciliation with Richard Lee regarding the allegations of violations of the Consumer Protection Law and the Health Law currently being handled by the Metro Jaya Police.

Nevertheless, Doktif emphasized that the peace effort has strict conditions. He requested Richard Lee to return the public funds, which are said to amount to hundreds of billions of rupiah from the sale of skincare products. "Return the hundreds of billions of public money that you have taken. That is the condition for peace," said Doktif when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Monday (19/1/2026), as reported by Okezone.

Doktif also revealed that he rejected a peace money offer of Rp5 billion that was said to come from Richard Lee. He emphasized that the report he made was not based on personal interests, but rather to fight for consumer rights.

"Against Doktif, you are nobody. The money you offered of Rp5 billion to Doktif will not be accepted," said Doktif. "Never offer Doktif peace money secretly behind the public's back," added Doktif.

Not only that, Doktif emphasized that if Richard Lee wants to meet him, the meeting must be conducted openly and witnessed by the media to avoid speculation.

"If you want to meet Doktif, do it in front of journalists. If you want to make peace with Doktif, be fair about it, how much is the loss to the public, return their money. That’s how we can make peace. Don’t try to make peace with Doktif behind the scenes," Doktif insisted.

On the same occasion, Doktif also responded to Richard Lee's request for a postponement of the examination. He admitted he was not surprised by the situation. Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, explained that Richard Lee's absence was due to declining health. The follow-up examination is rescheduled for February 4, 2026.

"From the examination on January 17, 2026, the examination was cut short for humanitarian reasons, the suspect was not feeling well after the examination went late. Therefore, there was an agreement to continue the examination on Monday, January 19, 2026, which is exactly today. However, the condition of the suspect DRL is also not well," said Budi.
