DJ Joice Arrested by Police for Drug Abuse, Arrested After Meth Party

Kapanlagi.com - South Jakarta Metro Police once again arrested a public figure for drug abuse. Anisa Choirunnisa alias DJ Joice was arrested along with three of her acquaintances identified as IS (26), FA (31), and N (26).

Wakasat Narkoba Polres Jaksel AKP Billy Gustiano Barman said that the four individuals were arrested in a boarding house in the Kemang area of South Jakarta.

1. Community Report

"Starting from a community report received from the unit one satresnarkoba Jaksel operational team, an investigation and deepening based on community information were carried out," said Billy at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday (28/6).

"After that, on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 12:30 pm, it turned out that the report received from the community was true that there was information about suspected drug abuse. Then the operational team went to the scene of the incident located on Jl. Kemang Utara, Mampang Prapatan, Jaksel," Billy added.

2. Evidence

From the arrest, the police managed to secure evidence in the form of methamphetamine and its smoking tools. "Among them were bongs or methamphetamine smoking tools, methamphetamine narcotics evidence, two small plastic clips containing methamphetamine, and psychotropic narcotics evidence," he explained.

In fact, the arrest took place after the four of them had a drug party in the boarding house. That's why the remaining evidence was only 0.71 grams.

"They were using drugs at the time of the arrest. Yes, it's true (there was leftover drug use)," continued Billy.

According to Billy, DJ Joice has been consuming drugs since 2018. "(The reason for using methamphetamine) according to the suspect's statement, he can get calmness, satisfaction, and happiness," he said.

Currently, the police are still investigating the case to find the supplier and the network. "The charged article is Article 127 of Law no. 35 of 2009," he concluded.
