Dwi Sasono Uses Marijuana to Fill Time During the Corona Pandemic, Now Becomes a Suspect

In a press release from the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Monday (1/6/2020), Commissioner Pol Yusri explained some of the results of the examination of Dwi. He said that the husband of Widi Mulia had already informed the reason for consuming the illegal substance.

"The initial examination results indeed showed that the person admitted to being a user of marijuana narcotics and had been using it regularly for almost a month. The motive he conveyed to the investigators is that this is the first time, filling the empty time and also there is one obstacle for this suspect, which is that he has difficulty sleeping. For several months, he has had difficulty sleeping, and with the activities during the Covid-19 pandemic, he has been staying at home, so he took advantage of the time to do something wrong. This is his confession," said Commissioner Pol Yusri.

1. Already Detained

Until now, the drug case of Dwi Sasono is still being developed by the police to explore other possibilities. The test results also stated that Dwi tested positive for drug use.

"So we have already detained him, since a few days ago. His lawyer is also present. Until today, there has been a submission from the suspect's lawyer team to propose rehabilitation or assessment," said Police Commissioner Yusri.

2. Threatened with 5 Years of Imprisonment

Another confession from Dwi, he obtained marijuana from a person with the initial C who is now a wanted person. For possessing the item, Dwi is charged with violating Article 114.

"We charge him with Article 144 paragraph 1, subsidiary to Article 111 of the Narcotics Law, with a minimum sentence of 5 years. The assessment has been submitted by his legal team and will be conducted by the South Jakarta BNK to determine whether he is eligible for rehabilitation or not," concluded Police Commissioner Yusri.
