Exception Rejected, Jerinx SID's Party is Grateful for Offline Trial

Kapanlagi.com - The Panel of Judges rejected the objection or exception submitted by I Gede Ari Astina alias Jerinx SID regarding the alleged electronic media threat case reported by Adam Deni.

In the hearing, it was explained that the Prosecutor's indictment was in accordance with Article 143 of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). The panel of judges decided to continue this case with the examination of witnesses.

"Declares that the objection or exception of the defendant's legal counsel is not acceptable. We announce that this trial is decided to continue," said the Panel of Judges of the Central Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (5/1).

1. Continued Witness Examination

Furthermore, the Panel of Judges requested the Prosecutor to present witnesses at the next hearing on January 12. The Prosecutor also plans to present several witnesses, one of whom is the victim, Adam Deni. However, it is not yet certain when Adam Deni will attend the trial.

"We ask the Prosecutor to present witnesses at the next trial," said the Panel of Judges.

2. Offline Hearing Held

Although the defendant's exception was rejected, the Panel of Judges granted the defendant's request for the next hearing to be held offline. The judge gave Jerinx the opportunity to hear clearly. 

"The request for an offline hearing can be done offline to give the defendant a clear opportunity to hear without any virtual interference," said the Panel of Judges.

3. Not a Problem

After the hearing, Jerinx's lawyer, Sugeng Teguh Santoso, also had no problem because his exception was rejected. Because the most important thing is that the request for an offline hearing was granted.

"Oh, it's not a problem. It's a normal process in a legal process. Our problem earlier was about the exception objection. But the offline hearing was granted. Now, this offline hearing is important, the judge wisely considers seeking material truth offline," concluded Sugeng Teguh Santoso.

4. Obtaining Evidence

On the other hand, Adam Deni's representative lawyer, Machi Achmad, has also obtained several conversation evidence between him and Jerinx. One of them is a chat containing Jerinx's request for Adam Deni to withdraw his report.

Not only that, Deni even revealed that Jerinx seemed to beg for mercy from Adam Deni.

"Of course there is evidence. There is evidence of conversations of who actively contacted several times and seemed to beg to meet my client for facilitation, but when facilitated, he threw accusations. Even though we have complete evidence of who made the request, who offered peace money," said Machi Achmad.

5. Satisfied

Adam Deni also revealed that he is very satisfied with the detention of Jerinx SID because justice can be upheld. And until now, Adam himself does not want to withdraw the report.

"In my opinion, if this case has reached the P21 level, especially the one I reported which is now a suspect and has been detained, I feel satisfied," said Adam Deni.
